Message from our 2022-2023 CEIA President
It was wonderful to see all those who attended our conference in Alexandria at the start of the month. The conference theme that “We’re back” was certainly apt and your board and the conference committee have appreciated the feedback that attendees really enjoyed the opportunity to be back together in person. We hope it enabled you to “celebrate” with colleagues, “advocate” the great work that we all do, and leave feeling “inspired” from what you learned and experienced.
I am personally inspired by the opportunity to be your President for the year ahead. I am grateful for the ongoing support and mentorship that has been provided to me by David Caffo and Dawn Koeltzow, our previous past presidents, and that of our board, both previous and new. We have a very special year ahead as CEIA celebrates its 60th birthday. It will be an opportunity to appreciate and recognize the past, to reflect on how things have evolved, and to look forward to the exciting things we can explore and do together to position work-integrated learning in an ever changing world.
In the year ahead, your board and I will be working diligently to continue to bring our CEIA community back together again and delivering further value in your CEIA membership. It will be an exciting year ahead and the work has already begun. I encourage you to get involved and embrace the learning opportunities and the support CEIA and our membership community provides.
Best Regards,
Ross Johnston
CEIA President
