Conference Reminders:
Dress Code: Casual - we're in Texas. Jeans are fine. You may wish to wear boots and hats to the Opening Reception. For the closing awards banquet business attire is appropriate. The weather in San Antonio might be unpredictable in April. Check the Weather Channel at www.weather.com so you can pack appropriately. Also, hotel meeting rooms can be cold - bring a sweater or jacket so you will be comfortable.
Air Transportation: The San Antonio International Airport serves most major US airlines: http://www.sanantonio.gov/Aviation/airlines.asp
Ground Transportation: The San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk Hotel does not provide shuttle service. Alternate transportation: Airport Express - 210-281-9900; fee: 18 USD (one way) on request Estimated taxi fare: 22.00 USD (one way).
New Members' Welcome Reception: If you are new to CEIA or attending for the first time, please join us at 4:00 pm on Sunday afternoon. This is a great opportunity to meet your colleagues and the leaders of our organization.
Vegetarian meals: Please let us know in advance. We may not be able to accommodate special requests on site.
Parking: Self parking at the San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk Hotel for conference attendees will be $15.00 per day; valet parking will be $25.00 per day.
Things to Do in San Antonio: There are wonderful restaurants, the Alamo, the Riverwalk River Taxi Tours and great shopping, all near the conference hotel. Visit the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau website for lots of ideas and information:
Door Prizes: We encourage you to bring door prizes from your Institution with at least a $30 value. Drop them off at the registration desk.
