Journal access for individuals is now open to the public at no charge!

The Journal of Cooperative Education and Internships is now an open access format.  As an author this could give your work a larger potential audience thereby increasing the impact of your work.  Astronomy researchers who made their Astrophysical Journal article open access doubled the citation rate of their articles.  Scientists who chose the open access option when they published in Limnology and Oceanography had approximately three times more downloads of their articles from that journal’s website.  We hope the same will hold true for the Journal of Cooperative Education and Internships.  As a guest, you can search and view abstracts in the Journal, and have access to the full-text manuscripts in PDF format.

Institutional Library Subscriptions

An even more powerful way to increase the impact of the Journal is through library s subscriptions.  The Journal is offered through EBSCO for purchase by institutions through a library subscription rate.  This allows your colleagues at your institution to develop a common frame of reference with respect to the scholarship of the field.  Contact your university library to have them purchase a subscription or visit http://www.ebsco.com/home/contact/default.asp to find the EBSCO contact for your region/country or contact your university librarian for assistance.

Experience Magazine.

To meet the important need for a magazine delivering news, analysis and data related to organized college work experiences. CEIA is reinstituting “Experience Magazine” in the fall of 2011.   Its content focuses on the needs of students, employers and educators with respect to effectively managing college work experience programs.  Like the Journal, this will be open access to allow CEIA members and guests to read up on issues, problems or trends in the field.
